WELCOME...

...to the official internet home of the Long Eaton Carnival.

This year's carnival will be held on Saturday 16th June 2007!

2007's carnival will, for the first time, be extended to offer an entire WEEKEND of entertainment for the townsfolk of Long Eaton!

FRIDAY 15th June ... starting at 7.45pm
* Family gospel Concert with local bands: 'Alison J and the Union' plus a country gospel band and 'Kings and Queens' an up-and-coming young Christian band.

SATURDAY 16th June ... starting at 7.45pm
* TOXIC FEDERATION!

TICKETS are required for both Friday and Saturday night
ADVANCE
: £3 adults, £1 under 16s, FREE for under 5s

Take 2 Music, Derby Road
ON THE DOOR: £6 adults, £3 under 16s

SUNDAY 17th June ... starting at 3.30pm
'Praise and Picnic in the Park'
led by David Sirrel and band. Visitors are asked to bring their own picnic.



SATURDAY 16th June ... PARADE

The Road Parade will leave Sheet Stores at 11.00am and follows usual route via Tamworth Road, Market Place, Derby Road ending at West Park.

Marching Bands and walking parties will join the parade from Wyvern Avenue.

LE Millitaires will be performing in Market Place in the Town Centre, along with stilt walkers and other entertainers.

Judging of the Road Parade Entrants takes place on Derby Road Canal Bridge.
 
Showground will be open for the public from 12 noon to 6.00pm. West Park entertainment includes:

* EMYJO (East Midlands Jazz Orchestra)
* Friesland Jazz Band
* Dance Displays,
* Falconry and Birds of Prey,
* Dako Flying Angels,

The Funfair will be open from Thursday - Sunday
 


The 2006 Carnival was a storming success! BIGGER and BETTER than 2005...there was plenty to do and see...visit the 2006 page to read about 2006's prize winners and participants.
