2011 is the 80th anniversary of the Long Eaton Carnival. For a history of the carnival, click the link to the left.
Road Parade
The Road Parade is always a highlight of the carnival - the vibrant displays really get everyone in a carnival mood! Once again, entry is free, so get your thinking caps on and come up with a stunning idea for your entry.
Bands
This year we welcome the band from Essen in Germany, who are over here in Long Eaton for a twinning visit with their counterparts, the Long Eaton Militaires. They will be marching in the parade, and we hope that they can also perform on the field.
Along with them are the Long Eaton Militaires, the Breaston Highlanders, the Boys' Brigade Band and a band from Newport in Wales.
Stalls
Always a great feature of the event are the stalls provided by a myriad of organisations both local and national. Some will be under cover in the big marquee, others will be out on the field. Read more here, particularly if you would like to book a stall.
Entertainments
As usual there will be lots going on. Armstrong's Fun Fair will also be on the field from Friday through to Sunday. The Performance Marquee will be hosting various musicains and artists, and also displays celebrating the 400th annviersary of the King James Bible.
And there's more...
