Carnival Bands
There were four bands in the 2006 parade.
The Long Eaton Militaires, who gave a short display in
the town centre beforehand, joined and lead the parade from the
Market Place.
The other three bands who marched were The Breaston Highlanders,
Derby Midshipmen and Melton Mowbray Toy Soldiers.
STAGE
Music Tent:
Tom Wardle, East Midlands Youth Jazz Orchestra (EMYJO), Aimless
and Some Kind of Mushroom (Derbyshire Young Band of the Year).
Beer Tent:
From 6pm 'Carnaby Rocks' – music from the 60’s and
70’s
ARENA
Main Arena:
St Leonard’s Riding School, Band Competition:
Long Eaton Militaires, Breaston Highlanders, Derby Midshipmen,
Melton Mowbray Toy Soldiers. Dance Doctor, JKP School of Dance,
Greek dancers.
